Katinka discovered her passion for painted furniture during a trip to France in 2018, where she stumbled upon a beautifully hand-painted chest of drawers. Inspired by its charm and craftsmanship, she began creating her own distinctive style of "furniture art" — producing high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the line between function and fine art.
As a contemporary artist, Katinka specialises in repurposing and restoring second-hand furniture, transforming each item into a unique work of art. Far from simply giving old pieces a fresh coat of paint, she meticulously reimagines them with intricate, eye-catching designs that have become widely admired. While she uses wood filler to repair significant imperfections, minor marks are intentionally preserved to retain the history and character of each piece.

Collaborating with multiple companies including Camilla Hampton Interiors to produce bespoke hand painted trims and more for clients across the world, Katinka draws inspiration from her travels, infusing her work with the vibrant colours, textures, and patterns encountered abroad.
