KATINKA

A self taught artist, Katinka branched out into painted furniture after travelling to France in 2018 and stumbling across a hand painted chest of draws. She has since gone on to develop her own style of ‘furniture art’, producing stunning high quality pieces, each one totally unique.

As a contemporary artist, Katinka focuses on repurposing and restoring second hand furniture, up-cycling them into unique works of art. Going far beyond giving them just ‘a lick of paint’, Katinka turns each one into a much admired artwork. When repainting furniture the artist uses wood filler on any major imperfections, but small marks are left to insure the history and character of the piece remains.​
